I keep getting the message that a year's worth of pay periods must be created.
Resolution
Every calendar day must be represented within a pay period to avoid gaps. If you are in your last created pay period, the system will warn you to set up new ones, as you cannot close out your current period until the next set is created.
To set up your next set of pay periods in Jackrabbit, follow these steps:
- Go to the Staff menu > Staff Portal > Portal Settings.
- Scroll to the Time Clock Pay Periods section.
- Click Add Pay Period and select your Payroll cycle (for example, Semi-Monthly or Bi-Weekly) from the drop-down menu.
- Input the Start Date for the new pay periods. This must be the day immediately following the end date of your last existing pay period.
- Enter any additional dates, such as the Pay Date, and click Save.
Jackrabbit will automatically create 12 months of pay periods for you.
